   Ok, so let’s get this straight first:

   1. Traktor Le, the program that comes with the Numark Stealth is a DEMO program that if not activated will only run for 30 minutes. Even if you activate it, it still is NOTHING compared to Traktor PRO. So, using it TWO days before your gig, like another guy who critiqued it, is not enough time to practice anyway. you should have prepared…

   2. This IS NOT a “Plug and Play” Unit. You need to go into the drivers and INSTALL THEM.

   This is the first midi controller I have bought for professional DJing purposes and I made this mistake, but I

   installed the drivers and now everything works PERFECTLY. I TOO thought that I was gonna have to return it, but it’s not just going to light up automatically, because it is MIDI.

   I absolutely LOVE this controller. It feels solid, durable, has rubber knobs and faders (not cheap plastic) and has tons of buttons and infinite knobs.

   I DJ regularly at large parties and local club venues.

   It doesn’t have a built in sound card, but for only $90 more I suggest getting the Native Instruments Audio DJ2 so you can cue up music through your headphones with awesome quality… 30x better than getting the OMNI, which is the same controller w Built In soundcard.

   There are LOTS of forums online filled with people willing to help newcomers with this controller. Trust me, I’ve needed the help transitioning in to the digital dj world.

   I TOTALLY and ENTIRELY recommend this to ANYONE looking for a durable, well thought out controller.

   I bought this as a Christmas present and it did not work. After several hours of trying to hook it up,with no success, then several more hours on the phone with tech support and still no success. He was very aggravated,had to mail it back and is still waiting for a new one. It is February now and still nothing.

   Stealth control comes with tracktor le set up for the controller. Simple to set up the software is a bit dated (had to download 125 meg file) Very responsive great for getting into DJing.

   I ordered the Numark Stealth Control for a gig on Thanksgiving Day 2009. The Controller arrived two days before the gig and almost immediately I was on the phone to Numark Tech Support. No matter how hard they tried the music output from Traktor LE (the software which runs Stealth Control) was scratchy, with pops and crackles. Infact it sounded more like popping pop corn than any tune from my music library. None of the troubleshooting steps helped. I went online to search for “traktor LE sound problems” and realized that this is a rather common issue with the software. Traktor LE is a lousy program that left me disappointed on the day when I needed to use my laptop for a gig.

   While the Numark Stealth Controller may be a sturdy equipment, unfortunately it is paired with a crappy software which reflects very badly on Numark. I returned mine asap.

   It would not work. The power never went on. It was defective and I sent it back for a new one. Then I decided to cancel the order and just get a refund bc when I called to find out the status of my 2nd one, the salesman informed me that 2 more ppl called in that day with the same problem. It appears there is a defective shipment of these or they all are poorly made. It does not come with an adaptor, you have to buy one on the side if you want it. It doesn’t need the adaptor though bc it is powered by your computer/laptop. But not having the adaptor is not the reason it never powered on for me. It should have worked as I have a more than efficiently powered Mac. Be cautious if you want to buy one of these DJ decks.
